Patty has been working in the Youth Ministry for seven years and her biggest passion is learning and teaching about the Bible. Outside of church, she is a medical doctor, a wife to the love of her life (Alex) and mother to a little baby boy (Nicolás). Life is busy, but Patty firmly believes that service makes life on this earth worth living. She loves reading, spending time with friends, and traveling around the world. Her favorite Bible verse speaks about how we can turn our anxieties into prayers and thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6-7).

Paula has been working with the youth for over three years and she is your go-to person if you need prayer or a wonderful (and long!) talk. Paula is our secret weapon when it comes to inviting people to our gatherings since her warmth and charming approach would make you want to know more. Maybe she brings her skills from her passion for working with kids or her psychology degree! She loves Colombian food and hiking. Her favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 43:2 which encourages us through difficult times knowing that God will always be with us!

We have welcomed Yomarie this year as her first time involved with the youth ministry, but in church (and outside of church!), she has been shaping the minds of little ones through her work in Sunday school and as a teacher. She is also a wife and an adventurous traveler. She enjoys trying new restaurants and visiting new places with her husband, Kazel (who happens to be an honorary member of this team!). Her favorite Bible verse speaks about how obeying God is refreshing to the soul (Psalms 19:7-11).

Lesli is also joining us for the first time in the youth leadership and we have been impressed by her big heart and her compassion for others. We know her kindness and generosity will serve her well in her career as a nurse. Lesli loves playing sports, hiking, visiting new places, and dessert! She is our very own sound engineer, photographer, and choir singer! Her favorite verse reminds us of how God is in control and He knows better than anyone the plans that He has in store for us (Jeremiah 29:11).

Jimmy has been working with the Youth Ministry for over three years and he has brought his training as a business administrator to the coffers of our ministry. He is a man of few words (except when it comes to preaching!) but always ready to share his wisdom with wit and kindness. He enjoys a good nap but he is ready to make the ultimate sacrifice (of sleep, -or lack of!) to welcome his new baby girl, Samantha. In this new chapter of his life, he and his wife, Angelica, will be living proof of his favorite verse: I can do all this through God, who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13).

Another new face on the team but he is no rookie. Luis has been working with the worship ministry for years. He loves playing drums (oh my, he is so good at it! –we all agree on this), sports, music, and sleeping (yes! Another nap-time fan). He has joined us as our junior treasurer and is part of our social media team. He is our go-to person when it comes to altar calls and inviting the church to join him in praising the Lord. Outside of church, Luis is a finance and economics student and his favorite verse is a great reminder of how we can stay on the path of righteousness: by hiding God’s word deep inside our hearts (Psalms 119:11).
